Whereas, Lorraine Beaulieu has been deeply committed to the chamber and the Central Vermont community for more than 40 years, and

Whereas, that commitment has been translated into unwaverying devotion to both the chamber and the community all these years, and

Whereas, Lorraine Beaulieu has never said "no" to a member or a friend - and has never really seen a difference between the two, and

Whereas, Lorraine Beaulieu never called in sick more than twice in the same decade, and

Whereas, for recreation and enjoyment, she re-typed financial statements, and

Whereas, her idea of making new friends is standing in an information booth on freezing foliage nights, and

Whereas, her knowledge of members extended to the colleges and athletic pursuits of their children and grandchildren, and

Whereas, she spent more birthdays at the Craft Show than at restaurants, and

Whereas, simply put, no organization anywhere at any time has received more ardent support, nor more dedicated service, nor more self-less involvement from any employee,

Therefore, it is hereby resolved by the 1995 Board of Directors of the Central Vermont chamber of Commerce, on behalf of all the boards that preceded it, and on behalf of all the members that they have collectively served, that Lorraine Beaulieu be recognized and honored the night of January 27, 1996 at the chamber Annual Banquet, and that she be named an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Central Vermont chamber of Commerce, and further that she be invited for all time to all chamber functions as a guest of the organization she served so faithfully for so long.
