| Hallways surrounding the Chamber's conference rooms are home to photos of the organization's past presidents, recently refreshed and reframed. Our past presidents and their boards deserve a great deal of credit for the organization's strength. Their vision and foresight made the Chamber what it is today. Merging the Montpelier and Barre chambers was no easy task. Alan Noyes was the first president of the consolidated chamber. Past president Marion Milne first suggested the Chamber's office complex and meeting rooms in 1982 and a number of boards made major contributions that have enabled us to have our own building. These efforts where secondary to even more impressive programs promoting the community as a great place to live and operate a business. |
