Manufacturing - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - In Burlington - This class

and successfully used by lean manufacturers. The outcome of this
class is a set of performance measurements that can be introduced

12/10/03 - Learning to Pull: Techniques of
Pull /Kanban - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - In Burlington - Using a case
study designed to focus on the value of pull/kanban, this workshop
takes the participants beyond the value stream into an understanding
of the strategic nature of pull/kanban. The workshop does not
just answer technical questions such as how to manage lumpy customer
demand, but delves deeper into how to set minimum batches, how
to size supermarkets, and what kind of kanban to use. This winning
combination of strategy and tactics not only results in significant
long-term financial benefits achieved very quickly, but also provides
a springboard to the focused application of lean techniques. To

Burlington - Workplace information can change quickly and often
production schedules, customer requirements, engineering

accurately update and share this information. The key is the visual
factory. A visual factory is a comprehensive waste-reduction strategy
that roots out confusion. Made up of hundreds of simple, low-cost
visual devices, a visual workplace shares vital information to
the people who need it most your employees. For registration,
