OVERVIEW OF INTERNET and PHONE SERVICES

SoVerNet 's telecommunications services include both Internet Services and Telephone Services. The Internet services are available as stand-alone accounts or as a "Service Bundle" which includes telephone services. Our Bundled Services provide the greatest value on overall telecommunications costs because economies of scale permit us toprovide both Local and Long Distance service along with your data services, at deep discounts up to 20%. INTERNET
We have been providing reliable, affordable, locally-accessed Internet services since 1995. Our network is fully redundant, meaning we have multiple T3 connections to several Tier-1 providers ensuring that traffic gets rerouted in the event of problems beyond our network. We monitor our network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, using state-of-the-art monitoring software and fully-trained personnel.

Accounts are available, in several configurations, for Residential and Business use. They range from Dialup to DSL-based Broadband, right on up to fractional and full T1/T3 services. Our Additional Services are available as individual add-on services to augment or customize any base account. For travelers, we provide a Remote Dial-In option.

Residential Dialup Accounts start at $20/month—all include multiple email-only addresses, webspace, unmetered use, access via local numbers which are V90/x2 and ISDN capable, and more. In addition to Dialup, we now provide our “always-on” Personal High Speed Access (G.Lite/ADSL) in qualifying locations.

Internet accounts may be paid for by check/money-order, credit card, or electronic funds transfer (ACH/EFT), with discounts availble for 6- and 12-month prepay. We also offer special discounts on Intermittent Dialup access to full-time teachers and students, and to seniors.

Business Accounts provide expanded services beyond Residential Account offerings, and run from dialup, to broadband Business High-Speed Access (SDSL), right on up to our T1/T3 dedicated accounts. Our business-class dedicated accounts include 24/7 monitoring with a special Monitor phone extension so you are assured of always being able to reach help.

TELEPHONE SERVICES
Voice services are provided in Vermont, in areas where we can colocate our equipment in the local Central Offcies. Our voice services include Local Calling, In-state and Out-of-State Long Distance, Toll-Free Service, International LD, and voice/data products such as "Voice over DSL." Our voice services are intended to be bundled with our data services to provide our customers with "One-Stop Shopping" and discounts up to 20% off current Internet/Voice services as purchased separately.

We are always striving to add convenience and value to our Internet access services. Currently, the following options may be added to any of our standard accounts at nominal per-month fees. Except as indicated, discounts in effect for your main account are also applicable to Additional Services. Other account and access options will be available in the coming months. REMOTE DIAL-IN SERVICE

For long-distance access without the long-distance expense, we offer a Remote Dial-In Service via an 888 number. Travelers can take advantage of this dial-in number to access SoVerNet from anywhere in the continental US. The cost of Remote Dial-In service is $.11/minute, billed in full minute increments, with a minimum charge of $1.00 if the service is used during the month. Payment will be by the method currently selected for payment of your Internet service account. Confirmation of the charges will be emailed to your main SoVerNet account each month.

CELLULAR & PAGING

Pagers have many built-in features. Service plans start at only $10.95 a month for Numeric* service and $17.95 for Alpha/Numeric service.**

*Numeric Service—Callers use their phone’s keypad to enter a call-back number. This number is displayed by the pager when it alerts you to the incoming page.
**ALPHA/Numeric servic—Your callers may leave a text message via email or a live operator, or just a numeric call-back number.

INTERNET LOCAL-ACCESS NUMBERS

Internet Local-Access Numbers are available for customers in all Vermont phone exchanges as well as in some neighboring exchanges in New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, and Quebec. All are 56k (x2/V.90) and ISDN capable. There may be a few exchanges served by independent phone companies in Vermont where “Extended Calling Areas” are in effect, and which may incur charges. If in doubt, call your phone company’s office and ask what the charges, if any, will be.
