The Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce does not endorse or provide contributions to candidates for public office. However, among the activities that we are involved in as an organization is advocacy on behalf of our members. We proudly have a registered lobbyist on staff who helps to present the business agenda to the General Assembly.
The Chamber has a state legislative agenda that we promote to elected officials. The policy positions adopted by The Chamber are developed based on input from our members, a careful vetting by our Public Policy Committee and finally adoption by our Board of Directors.
The Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce also takes positions on local and federal issues that affect the business community.
The Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce works with a variety of groups on issues of mutual concern. Among the groups that we work with are The Vermont Chamber of Commerce; The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce; The Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce; Vermont Realtors Association; Vermont League of Cities and Towns; Vermont Ski Areas Association; Vermont Technology Alliance; and the Vermont Arts Council.
